The Château d'Aguilar  (Aguilar Castle) is a Cathar castle located in Tuchan. Belonging to Termes family, it then became a royal fortress in the XIIIth century, its construction began in XIIth century. It is situated on a hill (96m), and belongs to "Five Sons of Carcassonne". It was finally abandoned in 1569. The external enclosure is composed of six semi-circular towers, which has was flanked with a rectangular tower. The view is as beautiful as that of the castle of Quéribus, so it's worth going up there to admire this gorgeous landscape!
